Description
A poodle skirt is a wide swing felt skirt of a solid color displaying a design appliquéd or transferred to the fabric. The skirt style itself had been introduced a few years earlier by Christian Dior in his 1947 New Look line. Poodle skirts were popular items of clothing in the 1950s, and are commonly worn as costumes for Halloween or dress-up parties.
